My line is as follows: Geraldus/John/Joseph BUNTYN (1765-1826) > Joseph Everett BUNTYN (1809-1894) > B. Franklin M. BUNTYN (1837-1887) > Josiah Franklin BUNTYN (1875/1876-1911) > Joe Stanley BUNTYN (1909-1985)> my dad (still living) > myself > my children.
Geraldus/John/Joseph BUNTYN was born 01 September 1765 in Scotland. He married Elcy/Elsey AVERETT/EVERETT, possibly in North Carolina. He died 06 April 1826, possibly in North or South Carolina.
Elcy/Elsey AVERETT/EVERETT was born 05 July 1773, possibly in North Carolina. She died 09 August 1848, possibly in Pike County, Georgia. Elcy/Elsey was the daughter of James and Edith AVERETT/EVERETT of Halifax County (the part of which became Martin County, then Edgecombe County), North Carolina.

- Joseph Everett BUNTYN (b. 12 February 1809, d. 26/27 May 1894) - born in North or South Carolina > Monroe, Pike and Spalding Counties, Georgia > descendants mostly in Georgia and Texas
- Sally Everett J. BUNTYN (b. 12 January 1811, d. 17 September 1827) - I'm not sure that Sally ever married or had children
